Summer Intern - Actuarial Development Program [21/01/2010]

The Actuarial Internship Program provides interns with an in-depth look at a challenging and exciting actuarial career.

As actuarial interns, students receive an introduction to the actuarial profession both in formal classes and job assignments, enabling them to make an informed decision about pursuing an actuarial career after graduation. The program lasts ten weeks (Tuesday, June 1, 2010 - Friday, August 6, 2010).

Requirements:

Strong math and communication skills

High academic standing (minimum GPA: 3.3) interest in computers desirable

Desired Major: Math, Business, Economics, or Computer Science

Other relevant majors include Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Management

Juniors preferred

Preference given to candidates who have at least one actuarial exam.

Intern Goals/Sucess Measures:

Students recieve an introduction to the actuarial profession both in formal classes and job assignments, enabling them to make an informed decision about pursuing an actuarial career after graduation

Computer Skills: (Please indicated needed proficiency level (A=Advanced, I=Intermediate, B=Beginner, N=Novice)
