Human Resources Manager [18/01/2010]
The HR Manager is responsible for creating a fair, respectful and high performance culture, enabling people to contribute their best. The role will develop, deliver and maintain a business focussed employee relations & reward strategy that meets the needs of a diverse set of business units.
THE ROLE:
The Millward Brown UK and Ireland HR team services 7 business units, with a turnover of over £100m per annum. You will work with the existing HR team and directly with the key managers in the business to implement people activities and advise on people policies
REQUIREMENTS:
- CIPD qualified or equivalent
- Proven track record of enhancing business performance through HR/people activities
- Excellent relationship building skills with evidence of influence across a range of seniority
- Demonstrable experience of handling employee information systems and reporting
- Demonstrable experience of coaching/managing others in HR to deliver more effectively
- Evidence of organisational skills and ability to prioritise; manage the day to day and juggle big complex projects at the same time
- Practices a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent use of Microsoft office
Desirable:
- Would be useful to have operational/business experience but not essential
- Qualification on advanced employment Law
- Working knowledge of reward/running reward programmes
- Contributes to the strategic development of the HR function, by working with the HRD on a people strategy
- Keeps up to date with case law and legal changes that require interpretation; works with the Senior HR Advisor to keep polices up to date
- Provides advice to HR and key managers on how to interpret and apply policies to manage and motivate employees
- Leads on employee relations aspects of organisational change
- Identifies and implements positive employee relation initiatives, working in consultation with the business heads, to ensure a more motivated workforce
- Organises and delivers training on employee relations issues; in particular change management and performance management related areas
- Manages the overall Reward offer/reward implementation process
- Manages and mentors others in the team; manage performance and develop HR careers in the team
