The Blackburn with Darwen and Bolton Local Education Partnership is an independent company established in partnership with Balfour Beatty Education and Blackburn with Darwen and Bolton Councils. The LEP will deliver a range of services within the two authorities including the design, construction and operation of secondary school facilities as well as deliver an ICT managed service to secondary schools across the two Councils. In addition the LEP will work with the Councils to support schools to implement integrated change management plans that will lead to improved outcomes for children, young people and the wider community.
The following post is a secondment to the Local Education Partnership lasting approximately 2 years with potential for extension, 37 hours per week. Please note, this post is not suitable for secondment for employees from schools who wish to remain on teachers’ pay and conditions.

The LEP team will be co-located with the BSF Programme Team which is currently based at Innovation Centre, Evolution Park, Shadsworth Road, Blackburn.
An additional £16 million of investment will be made into BSF secondary schools across Blackburn with Darwen and Bolton over the next 6 years. This investment will be delivered via and managed service provided by the LEP.
The LEP’s Transformation Leader (ICT/E Learning Specialist) will play a key role to ensure that the ICT investment delivers the wider BSF vision for transformation of learning, communities and lives.
Work alongside the two other LEP Transformation Leads, the ICT/E-learning specialist will ensure that the learning benefits of the ICT investment are maximised through the effective development and delivery of the LEP’s change management plans.
As with the general Transformation Leader roles we are looking for a highly creative individual with a passion for innovation in the filed of ICT and E –Learning. You will have operated at a senior level within schools or a local authority and have the ability to develop strategy as well as lead and deliver practical professional development activities.
