Maintenance Inspector - Cupertino - California  [06/01/2010]


 


POSITION SUMMARY
You are tasked with overseeing all machinery inspections and determining the schedule and frequency of predictive testing as well as analyzing all data produced, creating all work orders necessary to correct any deficiency. As an expert on root cause failure analysis, you will assist with training and mentoring others. You will be the first responder for all major or repeat equipment failures, and will determine root causes of failure and propose permanent corrective actions to be taken. In addition, you are responsible for the execution and effectiveness of the lubrication program for the plant.


OUR EXPECTATIONS - YOUR RESULTS
1. Review all new work requests daily and validate the work order.
2. Provide feedback to the Planner regarding priority, scope of work, and risk to the operation.
3. Set lubrication schedules and frequencies, determine and document the best lubricant for every application.
4. Champion the writing of preventive maintenance checklists.
5. Ensures predictive testing schedules are executed and followed and that records are being kept and entered into CMMS.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. An Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or a similar field of study.
2. Four to six years of demonstrated experience as a maintenance inspector.
3. Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Project, and computerized maintenance management systems.
